- Se recomienda tener los perfiles bien definidos en cuanto a privacidad y uso, de modo que se pueda gestionar mejor la huella digital
Según Adecco Perú, más del 60% de los reclutadores utilizan las redes sociales como parte de su proceso de selección, para verificar que los candidatos que se encuentran postulando a una oferta laboral no tengan contenidos inapropiados, ya que este podría ser motivo para no ser incluidos en el proceso al proyectar una mala imagen.
Asimismo, un estudio de Kaspersky señala que el 37% de los peruanos no sabe que al navegar por la web deja una huella digital, lo que podría provocar una mala gestión en el tratamiento de sus redes, afectando así su imagen profesional en el mundo digital.
Frente a este escenario, Jimena de Torres, Gerente de Marketing, Comunicaciones y RSC de Adecco Perú comenta que, ya sea un candidato o un profesional contratado, es importante ser conscientes de cuánta información personal dejamos en internet.
“Cuando un candidato participa en un proceso de selección, está en una competencia cuyo objetivo es ganarla frente a otros candidatos en igualdad de condiciones, superando diferentes etapas con cada vez más exigencias. En este proceso, la huella digital de cada uno será su punto de partida y de llegada”, comentó de Torres.
¿Cómo mantener una óptima huella digital?
La huella digital es el rastro que dejamos en la web ya sea porque dimos un “me gusta” a alguna publicación o simplemente cada vez que clickeamos a algún enlace de nuestro interés en internet, así como cuando realizamos publicaciones en redes sociales. En consecuencia, es importante mostrar coherencia en todo lo que comunicamos y compartimos de manera pública.
Jimena de Torres precisa que “no está mal que publiquemos fotos en algún evento de sociabilización o informal, pero es mejor colocar los filtros adecuados para que solo lo vea tu entorno más cercano”. Otro punto importante, agrega la especialista, son los comentarios que realizamos, pues es fundamental cuidar el mensaje, el lenguaje, el estilo y la ortografía.
Además de ello, de Torres señala que tener una participación activa en Linkedln y mantener el CV actualizado brinda visibilidad a tu perfil, además de ampliar tu red de contactos.
“Ser un buen embajador de la empresa en la que trabajas es muy importante, no solo para el empleador actual, sino que sumará puntos para futuros posibles empleadores. Gestionar bien tu marca personal aumenta tu visibilidad, credibilidad y profesionalismo”, agregó de Torres.
En la misma línea, una buena recomendación es tener los perfiles bien definidos en todas tus redes sociales: por un lado, para redes como Facebook, Instagram o Tik tok, tener un espacio más personal donde se comparten momentos casuales e íntimos, comentarios y opiniones personales, con todo el contenido para ser visto solo por tus contactos; y por otro lado, una cuenta relacionada al ámbito profesional donde se publica y toca temas netamente laborales, de preferencia LinkedIn, ya que es la red social laboral por excelencia.
“Una compañía se ve más afectada por una mala huella digital de sus directivos o líderes, pues son voceros y representantes de las empresas donde trabajan, por ello el cuidado debe ser mayor”, finalizó la directiva.
