La preparación de nuestra piel frente a cualquier tipo de clima y, en especial, para la exposición al sol, juega un papel primordial en la nutrición dérmica, principalmente para reducir el riesgo de arrugas, manchas, deshidratación y envejecimiento. En ese sentido, la doctora Cledi Masanovich, especialista del Centro de Medicina Estética de la Clínica Ricardo Palma, explica que es importante cuidarnos desde temprana edad (seis meses en adelante) para tener una piel más sana por más tiempo.
“Los niños necesitan una adecuada humectación y protección solar. Conforme vamos creciendo, nuestras necesidades van cambiando según los distintos requerimientos. A partir de los 25 años de edad, se empieza a perder tersura y se inicia el envejecimiento celular, aunque solo se aprecia microscópicamente es necesario incluir una rutina diaria de cuidado de la piel”, indica la especialista.
Todos los tipos de pieles deben ser atendidas con los cuidados correspondientes al daño que puede generar la radiación y, para ello, hay que comenzar a prepararla adecuadamente de manera diaria.
La especialista remarcó la importancia de iniciar con la preparación de la piel cuando está por iniciar una nueva estación del año. En el caso del verano, la alimentación también cobra un rol importante, ya que es recomendable consumir alimentos ricos en vitamina A y E, acompañada de una buena hidratación. En caso de que el paciente se encuentre o no expuesto al sol, es necesario que use fotoprotección de modo frecuente. Otra opción, es estimular la piel con tratamientos nutritivos e hidratantes dérmicos, como el uso de vitamina C, ácido hialurónico o la exfoliación de la piel con retinol.
“El no adecuado cuidado y protección de la piel puede contribuir a desarrollar algunas afecciones dérmicas como: acné, quemaduras, manchas, fotoenvejecimiento, infecciones en la piel, psoriasis, cáncer de piel entre otras”, indicó la especialista.
En consecuencia, anotó la doctora Masanovich, un diagnóstico facial es el primer paso para detectar las necesidades de la piel cuando un paciente desea realizarse un tratamiento en el rostro o lo que necesite evaluar, pues cada piel es diferente y, por tanto, cada una tiene sus propias características. Luego del diagnóstico, el especialista nos ayudará a personalizar el tratamiento e indicar el más adecuado para cada caso.
