Una niña de siete años, con síndrome de down, que vive en El Milagro, en presunto estado de abandono por parte de sus padres, fue llevada al Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo para su atención por problemas de salud, fue visitada y será apoyada por personal de la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo (MPT).
Marco Quintana, subgerente de Derechos Humanos de la comuna, indicó que atendiendo una denuncia señalando que la menor, que vive con su abuela, que es de bajos recursos económicos, estaría en situación de abandono, por lo que junto al encargado de la Omaped y Demuna acudieron al nosocomio para verificar su estado.
La niña tiene problemas respiratorios, pero ya está recibiendo el tratamiento del caso y se le han sacado análisis para ver si tiene algún otro problema de salud o enfermedad, indicó el funcionario edil.
Vamos a regresar mañana (hoy viernes) llevando ropa y ayuda alimentaria humanitaria. Haremos una colecta para entregar víveres, como leche y otros alimentos que la menor necesite, precisó el funcionario edil.
La abuela, que está al cuidado de la menor, tiene un documento firmado por un abogado, donde le dan poderes para el cuidado de la menor. Al parecer, eso no es correcto, no tendría validez, y le habrían cobrado 60 soles por el escrito.
Según se averiguó, la mamá abandonó a la niña y el papá estaría purgando una pena en el penal de El Milagro, por lo que la menor está al cuidado de la abuela.
En la Oficina Municipal de Atención a las Personas con Discapacidad – Omaped, se han comprometido que una vez que la niña salga de alta del hospital irán a su domicilio para ofrecerle terapia física de rehabilitación y con la Defensoría Municipal del Niños y el Adolescente – Demuna, se verá cómo más de le puede ayudar.
Apenas tomamos conocimiento del caso hemos ido al hospital para ver si las están atendiendo de manera adecuada averiguar y en qué forma se le puede apoyar. La niña tiene unas manchitas, que podrían ser hongos. Eso es lo que se busca descartar con los análisis que se le han hecho, añadió.
Por otra parte, recordó que ante situaciones como estas ellos atienden denuncias en la subgerencia de Derechos Humanos, en la Mz “R” Lote 11 de urbanización Los Portales.
