El enfoque en el cliente y el colaborador interno, el impulso de la innovación a escala y el despliegue de la tecnología a gran velocidad son algunas de las principales prioridades que los Chief Information Officers (CIO) están adoptando para aportar valor e impulsar el desarrollo de las compañías en el país. Así lo evidenciaron nueve experimentados CIO de Perú de diversas industrias que recientemente se reunieron en un encuentro organizado por EY Perú, en donde analizaron las principales oportunidades y retos para la transformación digital de las empresas y el rol transformacional de CIO.
“En los últimos años el rol del CIO ha evolucionado a un modelo transformacional que busca aportar valor a las compañías, enfocándose no solo en el negocio y el retorno financiero, sino también en la promoción de la tecnología e impulso de la transformación digital”, explica Francisco Escudero, Associate Partner de Consultoría de EY Perú.
Esta evolución trae consigo cambios en las prioridades de los CIO, quienes actualmente deben considerar seis puntos de enfoque para impulsar el desarrollo de las compañías:
- Trabajar con foco en los clientes: Es importante el entender al cliente, en cuanto a sus expectativas y necesidades.
- Nutrir el talento con nuevas recompensas y estrategias: El cliente interno es parte fundamental para el desarrollo de la empresa.
- Gobernar impulsando la innovación: El proceso de innovación y/o transformación digital debe empezar desde la cabeza de la empresa.
- Impulsar la innovación a través de ecosistemas y asociaciones: Como parte de un proceso de transformación e innovación exitoso es importante co-crear iniciativas, programas o ideas a través de incubadoras, equipos de trabajo e innovación, y/o apoyarse en expertos externos con conocimiento o práctica en la materia.
- Innovar teniendo como los datos como motor: El uso de datos e información de la mano de analíticas permite generar iniciativas que aporten valor a la empresa.
- Acelerar la adopción de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para impulsar el crecimiento: Para lograrlo es esencial trabajar con el sponsor adecuado e identificar los quick wins para capturar interés.
