El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Juan Carlos Mathews, aseguró que hoy el Perú está en los ojos del mundo, gracias al estreno mundial de “Transformers: El Despertar de las Bestias”, programado para este miércoles 7 de junio. Señaló que este es un hecho de suma trascendencia porque visibilizará el importante potencial turístico que tiene nuestro país.
En esta oportunidad, a través de esta película, se podrán observar locaciones como Alto Schilcayo, las cascadas La Unión, las cataratas de Ahuashiyacu y el distrito de Shapaja en la región San Martín. Mientras que, en Cusco, se lucen Machupicchu, Sacsayhuamán, la Plaza de Armas, Chinchero y el Abra Málaga.
Por ello, el titular del Mincetur saludó el importante trabajo de PROMPERÚ quien, como ente promotor, articuló y gestionó con diferentes instituciones, las autorizaciones de filmación correspondientes y realizó el acompañamiento continuo al equipo de producción en el país. Todo ello, a través de su estrategia Film In Peru, ofreciéndoles, además, una gran experiencia en su estadía.
“El Perú hoy estará en los ojos del mundo. ‘Transformers: el despertar de las bestias’ nos posicionará como destino turístico, dando a conocer nuestra riqueza milenaria y paisajes únicos. Esto nos permitirá, además, captar la atención de 150 millones de personas que se estima verán el filme. Esperamos incrementar, gracias a la película, entre 20 y 25% del flujo turístico del próximo año. Seguiremos trabajando para lograr que más producciones mundiales se realicen en distintas locaciones de nuestro país”, señaló el ministro.
Como se recuerda, en los últimos dos años, grandes casas cinematográficas internacionales han visto en Perú, un destino atractivo para las locaciones fílmicas tanto en la grabación de películas como series internacionales. En ese sentido, esto ha generado que crezca el interés con nuestro país, por lo que se vienen analizando experiencias exitosas y legislaciones a nivel internacional que faciliten el ingreso de este tipo de producciones.
“Este es un esfuerzo multisectorial en beneficio del país: más visitantes extranjeros generan movimiento económico y creación de empleos. Quisiera señalar que obsequiamos a la producción y actores de Transformers, hermosas artesanías peruanas con referencia a la película, elaboradas por Ramón Correa (Lima) y Silvestre Ataucusi (Ayacucho), en coordinación con Artesanías del Perú (https://www.artesaniasdelperu.gob.pe/). Se trata de dijes con el logo de los Autobots, retablos ayacuchanos, entre otros presentes. Con ello, agradecemos la elección de nuestro país para esta importante película”, finalizó el ministro Mathews.
