La ministra de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Gloria Montenegro Figueroa, participó de una importante reunión con la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú, con el objetivo de articular acciones en favor de las mujeres, especialmente en el tema de empoderamiento económico y prevención de la violencia de género.
“Desde el MIMP, reconocemos el notable rol que cumplen los gremios empresariales y, sobre todo, uno tan valioso como es la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú, con más de 5,000 representantes de 580 empresas asociadas, que promueven la economía, la inversión y el intercambio comercial dentro de un marco de responsabilidad social – laboral, valores y ética empresarial”, señaló Montenegro.
Agregó que es innegable el impacto y los cambios que pueden lograrse a través de un trabajo conjunto y uniendo esfuerzos el Estado, el empresariado y los trabajadores. “La participación de las mujeres en espacios de desarrollo público y de toma de decisiones es vital para fortalecer la igualdad en la sociedad”, manifestó la titular del sector.
La ministra dijo que la sinergia entre sector público y privado es imprescindible para generar cambios reales en nuestra sociedad, con potencial a largo plazo y proyectos duraderos que complementen la política pública con la generación de recursos y empleo.
Por otro lado, resaltó las acciones que realizan desde la Comisión de Diversidad de la Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú y las diversas gestiones efectuadas en pro de la igualdad, como la reciente campaña que promueve el respeto a la comunidad LGBT.
“Estoy segura que junto a AMCHAM podemos gestar proyectos con enfoque de género, de empoderamiento de las mujeres, a través de la gran cantidad de empresas asociadas y que cumplen un rol trascendental en la búsqueda de un país más igualitario en derechos y oportunidades entre hombres y mujeres”, puntualizó.
Participaron de la reunión virtual, la viceministra de la Mujer, Nancy Tolentino; Daniela Viteri, Directora General contra la Violencia de Género; Aldo Defilippi, CEO de AmCham Perú; Adriana Giudice – Gerenta General de Austral Group; Daniel Querub – Gerente General de IBT Group; entre otros.
