- El gremio exhorta la culminación de la obra que contribuirá a la competitividad de la región, así como al crecimiento comercial, económico y turístico de La Libertad.
Debido a que la obra de la Autopista del Sol lleva varios años paralizada, la Cámara de Comercio de La Libertad (CCLL) solicitó una reunión con miembros del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC), a fin de resolver la problemática de la obra, la misma que una vez culminada beneficiará la conectividad entre los departamentos de Piura, Lambayeque y La Libertad.
Los representantes de la Cámara de Comercio se reunieron con miembros de la Dirección General de Programas y Proyectos de Transportes del MTC y de la Concesionaria Vial del Sol S.A. (COVISOL) para trasladar la preocupación y malestar por parte de los sectores transporte, turismo, entre otros que están siendo perjudicados por la obra que lleva paralizada desde el año 2018 y solo tiene un avance de cerca del 30 %.
PEDIDO. “Nos hemos reunido con los funcionarios para retomar coordinaciones que contribuyan a reactivar la ejecución de la obra, vía de gran importancia para la región dado que ayudará a mejorar la conectividad con el norte y con todas las regiones del país. La paralización impacta negativamente a nuestro nivel de competitividad y el crecimiento comercial, económico y turístico; así como a la población de la zona”, sostuvo Juan Carlos Zaplana, primer vicepresidente de la CCLL.
Tras la reunión, las autoridades del MTC indicaron que realizarán el seguimiento a la obra para que se concluya entre este y el próximo año. Por su parte, la Cámara de Comercio propiciará mesas de trabajo con las autoridades correspondientes en La Libertad, con el fin de constatar el cumplimiento de los plazos para la culminación de la obra.
BENEFICIOS. La Autopista del Sol inició en operaciones en setiembre del 2009 y consta de 475 kilómetros desde Trujillo hasta Sullana. La obra impulsará la agroindustria, la minería y el turismo. Asimismo, contribuirá al ahorro en los costos de operación de los vehículos de transporte comercial y privado y beneficiará a los pobladores de las ciudades de las áreas de influencia con la construcción de las vías de evitamiento.
La Cámara de Comercio de La Libertad continuará realizando el seguimiento a la emblemática obra que ayudará aún más a impulsar el desarrollo económico y social de la región.
