La Academia logró obtener el campeonato absoluto y por categorías con sus nadadores de Trujillo y Piura.
Una vez más Berendson demostró ser uno de los clubes de natación más importantes del país, al lograr el título absoluto en el Campeonato Nacional de Categorías y en el Absoluto de Piscina Corta 2022. La competencia se realizó en la ciudad de Trujillo y fue organizada por la Federación Deportiva Peruana de Natación (FDPN).
Luego de cuatro días de ardua competencia, el club Berendson se proclamó campeón nacional absoluto con 1168 puntos, superando a clubes locales y nacionales. La academia participó con 32 nadadores, quienes estuvieron acompañados por los experimentados entrenadores Eduardo Saldarriaga y Hugo Cornejo.
Berendson logró, además, obtener el campeonato por categorías con 2441 puntos. Esto, gracias al excelente desempeño de sus atletas, entre ellos, los destacados Carlos Díaz, de Piura, y Nathaniel Puntillo, Luciana Tejada, Piero Rázuri y Andrea Hurtado, de Trujillo, quienes fueron nominados como mejores nadadores de categoría, ocupando los primeros lugares.
Entre los títulos logrados en esta competencia, se encuentra el tercer lugar en Infantil B y las ocho mejores marcas del torneo por categorías. Además del destacado trabajo de todo el equipo, los atletas Berendson lograron mejorar sus tiempos en esta competencia nacional.
