- Polo de desarrollo acuático en Piscina Olímpica.
Desde la llegada de la Federación Deportiva de Natación a Trujillo, el deporte acuático en la Piscina Olímpica ha tenido un gran desarrollo que hoy se ve reflejado en los nadadores que esta parte de la región aporta a la Selección Nacional.
Además en el día a día, en la piscina, se ven los polos de desarrollo con la academia que funciona todos los meses del año. A ello se suma el trabajo que hacen los clubes en la perfección de estilos de los nuevos talentos.
Los números hablan en estos seis años que vienen trabajando en la ciudad primaveral de Trujillo, de cuatro clubes hoy existen trece de los cuales tres son de la categoría master y son diez los que hacen uso de la Olímpica, entre ellos: Asociación Civil Walter Nuñez Cheng, Trujillo Master, Trujillo Nadadores, Master Olympic Team, Streamline Club, Piscina Olímpica, Club de Natación Silvestre Trujillo, Trujillo Olympic Club, Deporte Azul, Alto Rendimiento Nuevo Perú, Trujillo Acuatico CTA, sumándose los clubes Golf y Country Club, Club Berendson que usan la piscina eventualmente con sus torneos, completa la lista de los 13 clubes el Club ACR.
Entre el trabajo que realiza la FDPN en Trujillo está la Academia, donde se desarrolla el programa de Formación y captación de talentos, en donde se han visto beneficiado cerca de 4 mil en los meses de enero y febrero de este año.
“Es gratificante poder tener un polo de desarrollo en nuestra ciudad, en esta disciplina se ha tomado referencia de todas las categorías”, señaló Anabel Pérez Asseo administradora de la sede Trujillo de la FDPN.
Además aseguró que ha sido un arduo trabajo con el fin de que hoy los seleccionados —que suman en quince— puedan tener un espacio donde desempeñarse de la mejor manera con el único objetivo de sumar o lograr victorias.
Este año los nadadores trujillanos Luciana Tejada, Dairon Gutiérrez, Mariagracia Torres, Piero Rázuri, Marcelo Rojas y Adrián Ywanaga, así como el técnico Eduardo Saldarriaga tomaron parte en la Copa UANA, los mismos que el año pasado estuvieron en la Copa Pacífico incluida Nicole Rojas y desde hace varios años se tiene asistencia a diversos torneos internacionales, así como los Panamericanos que fueron en nuestro país el año pasado con Miguel Zavaleta, Jessica Cattáneo, Andrea Hurtado, Maríagracia Torres y el técnico Diego Sosa, sumándose los diversos torneos nacionales que Trujillo a sido Sede en los diversos deportes acuáticos.
La FDPN tiene a su cargo, en convenio con el IPD, la Olímpica de Trujillo desde el 2014 y los logros saltan a la vista en los programas que funcionan en dicho escenario que incluyen: natación artística, waterpolo y paranatación e inclusión.
No solo se ha beneficiado el deporte afiliado con la presencia de la natación, también hay un buen grupo que pugna por conseguir saltar a la palestra de los torneos que han realizado en la Olímpica.
El 2014 fueron 12 247, el 2015 13 394, el 2016 16047, 2017 11933 y el 2018 11034 alumnos beneficiados con la academia.
En lo que respecta a los nadadores de desarrollo por club que utilizan la Piscina Olímpíca son a abril del 2019 1224, en el 2017 fueron 575 y en el 2018 1178 nadadores afiliados a la FDPN.
15 nadadores seleccionados aporta Trujillo en las diversas categorías a la Selección Peruana.
